Need help on CAR AUDIO system!?

I have a Wrangler YJ. The two front speakers have already been replaced once. Now the front left one needs to be replaced again. I have many questions:

1)What exactly does a blown speaker sound like? Does it make some sound or none at all? I believe that my front left one is blown out but I'm not sure because it still makes music, but when any sort of bass plays or even a low pitched voice of a DJ starts talking, the speaker puts out a really fuzzy/"poofy" (not sure if that's the best word to describe it) type of sound.

2)I would like to get some speakers in the back seat of the jeep on top of the wheel wells but not exactly sure of the best way to go about it. I've been searching around and noticed a common trend among speaker manufacturers is that they always list a wattage, ohms and other stuff like that. If I were to hook up two more speakers (maybe 6"-8") in the back, would I have to worry about the speakers not working right? I have electrical wiring experience from when I helped my brother hook up some crappy ones that have been taken out a while ago.

3)If it matters the original radio was taken out and we replaced it with a Pioneer DEH-P2900MP. I believe that this is the one:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P2900MP
With this will it be able to power the extra 6" speakers?

4) Also, I've seen some places on the web where people have amps. Should I have one? I would rather not if possible because being a Wrangler, there isn't much extra room.
Thanks a lot for all of the time. I hope someone has all of my answers.
P.S. I'm not a total idiot when it comes to this kinda stuff, but as you can tell, I'm not sure on a lot of the specifics.
Thanks!
