ok i have a car audio system, i have a sony amp (1500 watts RMS) and one 12" sub 800 watts rms. i have my amp hooked straight up car battery and i have some power problems, my lights go down and i read a article or many that say this is a really good way to screw up your alt. so i dont have alot of money but i dont want to f up my car so do i just buy a capacitor or get another alternator and battery and hook my system up to that?
ok if i dont get an alternator would it hurt to get a 2 farad cap and not a 1.5. what are the pros and cons of getting a bigger cap than what my system reqires?
