ok so i just got this new amp for my bday and it is a 1000 watt with two speakers. the two speakers are 1000 watts each, and i am wondering for the gauge wiring from my battery to the truck, what kind of wiring gauge would be the strongest to support all the power???

It depends if the watts are peek power or RMS. If it is 1000 peek, your looking at anywhere from 200, 500 RMS, witch 8 Gauge will do fine. If your running 1000 RMS you will need 4 Gauge.
Dont forget a fuse in your power cable about a foot away from the battery.

Good Luck :D

You need to get at least a 4 gauge amp install kit. You could go 2 gauge for a better current flow, but a 4 gauge kit will suit you. Also, to provide more power you should get your amp install kit from rockford fosgate if you haven't gotten one.I suggest the RFK4. RF's wires are pure copper so you'll have a better electric current flow thus more power. Streetwires is good as well.
