Naughty Cineworld!!!!!

It was labelled Deluxe , you'd spend a premium to get in that screen, it had its own bar & toilets, bigger seats, moveable armrests, no seats right up by the screen. Plus my local was a Cineworld from day one (only about 10 years old). Even waiter service with drinks to your seat when they had enough staff on.

Just found out about this - they had cheap photocopies out all over the Edinburgh branch tonight, seems to have been rushed out. I'm absolutely furious, I signed up for an Unlimited card - all their posters, even tonight, still say any movie, any time. I no longer get this now without having to dig even further into my pocket as a lot of the films I'd been planning on using my card for this year are 3D ones to see with my kiRAB.

For Cineworld to change the rules when they've already got you signed up for a 12 month contract strikes me as immoral, if not also illegal. It also torpedoes the cheap Orange Wednesday deal for anyone planning on taking their kiRAB to any of this year's many 3D kiRAB movies as now even card holders will be having to pay extra, on top of their direct debit, for at least 2 tickets (assuming one adult and one child).

I'd been debating whether to dump Cineworld after their recent inflation-busting 12.5% rise in the monthly fee; this further piece of money-grabbing greed really takes the biscuit. And they can shove their laughable 15% discount vouchers on their massively overpriced food where the sun doesn't shine. That's me cancelling my DD immediately.

Obviously this is your choice, but I've never seen the point of saving all that money on tickets with the Unlimited Card then paying for overpriced food.

At my local Cineworld they've now got a sign stood on the cash desks about the new charging for 3D films for Unlimited customers, so I expect it's now official. :(

One of the bonuses of the Unlimited card is being able to see children's films without appearing *too* sinister. I tend to let the cinema schedulers decide, though, whether I should see it. I'll only go if a film has late evening showing, and AITA doesn't.

Is it really worth going?

Then I am surprised you could use the Unlimited card to get in, as I previously stated they wouldn't let you at my local Cineworld - and the screens are exactly as you described until they decided to remove the extra services.

That's interesting. I wonder whether there is a particular form of complaint that could be made about this and any other 3D-only release. That is, that the card cannot be unlimited if even one film is completely off-limits (without extra cost).

The Cineworld unlimited ticket is still the cheapest way to watch movies in the UK, no question. I've had one for about 3 years now.

However since the 12.6% price increase this year, plus the introduction of charging card holders for 3D films, I shall no longer buy any confectionary, drinks etc during my visit (I used to spend at least

Thanks for the recommendation - saw it yesterday, it was great fun. (Some of the CGI work is extremely good, too).

The Ninja battle between Zombie Grandma and Zombie sleazy boyfriend was hilarious.
