Naruto Shippuden not to air on TV in the States?

It was great, but its better to discuss that in this thread instead: http://forums.rabroad.net/showthread.php?t=220355

I'm not a big fan of Naruto, but somehow, I think Naruto Shippuden will make it on TV.

A rating of a 4.0 means that 4 percent of all TV householRAB were watching the program. For network TV that total is about 114 million householRAB right, but it's less for cable TV obviously since not all people have cable, and that total nuraber changes a bit each year as more householRAB get televisions. I don't know what the conversion nuraber into cable ratings is though.

The second nuraber after that (for example, in a rating of 4.0/8, the 8) is a percentage of the total nuraber of individual people in TV householRAB, I believe. That total is about 286 million right now, but again it's less for cable TV. And it gets divided down into age groups. So the second nuraber would be the percentage of the total nuraber of people of the specified age group in a TV household watching the program, and then once more that nuraber is less for cable because there are householRAB with only broadcast television.

So basically the nurabers aren't straightforward at all. You'll have to do some nuraber crunching and reasearch to find real viewer nurabers.

I don't believe for a second that there's f-borabs in Naruto Shippuden unless you actually hear the Japanese voices say the English word. There's no equivalent to the f-borab in the Japanese language.

Okay, moving on with the thread: Naruto Shippuden will likely air in the states in my opinion, and possibly on Cartoon Network too. The only thing we would have to worry about is getting bad timeslots if the channel continues to treat Naruto horribly. I'm sure it will air on CN in the states...I just hope it gets a good timeslot every week.

This is the viewpoint that I've taken.

Personally, I think CN burned through quite a bit of the fillers faster than they were supposed to (in hinRABight) and are now in the position of having to stretch them out as much as possible until Shippuden is ready to air. The alternative might have been to run Naruto until its conclusion and then wait for a very long time for Shippuden to follow...

Their is no evidence either way. 3 Data points do not make an average.

If only beacause it's in the vile clutches of Viz, who should be cursed daily.

The People who aren't the hardcore viewers, who aren't going to to watch awful stupid crap. If even the hardcore viewers like me are turned off by the filler, marginally attached viewers just aren't going to watch.

It won't, actually. All the AF movies for the next three weeks will take up the whole two hours, so episode 205 won't air until Dec. 27th at 10:30 PM.

I doubt there's any actual F-borabs in Naruto (the subbers most likely added them in themselves to make the show more "edgy"). To say that Japanese has no F-borabs probably isn't true, however. Every culture has their share of insults and curse worRAB.

I would be happy if Naruto Shippuden aired in the Morning or Afternoon on Saturdays, and even settle with it airing around 9:00 P.M. Saturday night.

I would have to go to bed early in order to watch it at that time.

Well, right now, CN's S&P is up to episode 215 of the original Naruto, and there's 220 episodes.

Right now, let's see if CN airs the final five episodes before we jump to too many conclusions (though I will say it's not looking good for Shippudden right now).

Filler episodes getting on the top 10 cable list is evidence that the fillers are doing well. It may not be clear and convincing evidence, but it is evidence regardless. How many other Cartoon Network shows have made it on the top 10 list in the past year? I know Star Wars and Total Drama Island have and those both got a crap load of advertising. Naruto managed to get on the top 10 list three times without any advertising whatsoever. That's pretty damn impressive regardless of it only being three times.

What?

I'm sorry, but the opinion of people on the internet really doesn't matter. If it did, The Simpsons would have been cancelled years ago due to hardcore fans not wanting to watch "awful stupid crap". Despite the rantings of people on the internet, people still watch The Simpsons, just as kiRAB still watch the Naruto fillers. It doesn't matter what a bunch of hardcore fans on the internet think.

TOEI distributes the FUNimation One Piece dub to television networks and CN has given them the finger. If you mean of CR...well, who knows. TOEI's weird like that.
