Napoleon Dynamite #2 - Sweet!

I finally saw this movie a few weeks ago and I loved it! It's so funny. Napoleon's little dance number at the school had me cracking up!

I haven't seen the movie, in the longest time.

Last time that me and my brother went to Blockbuster they were playing the movie :D

 I was wondering the same thing with the thread but its still sweet!

The Napoleonites, I like! :D

I finally saw this one and I liked it a lot. I have to agree that the dance (when Napoleon and Deb dance is sweet), the skit dance and the ending were great. There were just a lot of fun lines and mannerisms. I think they could have done a little more to develop Pedro's character but I liked the movie. I think it tried to be somewhere in the middle of Welcome to the Dollhouse and Rushmore.

I want to see this SO SO SO BAD. If there's one movie I see this summer, this is it (if there's two, it's this, and Garden State).

I cannot wait until the 23rd. Except I'm busy that whole weekend, so I won't see it until the next Tuesday, at the earliest.

I don't remember if I posted on the last Napoleon thread. But I really enjoyed this movie. It turned out to be a lot funnier than I thought it would be. I was stoked that it won so many MTV awards.

One of the funniest parts is when Napoleon comes riding up to the house on his bike and the uncle throws the piece of meat at his head  And the scene with the time machine was pretty funny too.

Yeah, that's the important part! The next thread will have links to the old ones and the names listed of the regulars... The Napoleonites.

And I swear... in a little bit I'm going to post what happened on Punked with our boy! :)

This movie was absolutely hilarious. What i loived watching the most was definately him dancing. It was priceless.

I'm one of the few who didn't hate Napoleon Dynamite (quite the contrary)--but also didn't find it absolutely hilarious either. Instead, I thought it had some brilliant one-liners and a "smart" kind of humor, based on the odd randomness of human (specifically, geek) behavior. I didn't laugh out loud outrageously, but I still enjoyed the film for its quirkiness, which, IMO is more authentic then some of the more slick-looking, manufactured "stupid" films out there these days.

Also, I LOVED the ending. Napoleon's dancing and the closing scene with his sort-of girlfriend were genuinely sweet and very touching. I thought the use of the song "The Promise" by When In Rome was inspired and perfect. :D.

It's been awhile since I've seen Welcome to the Dollhouse, but I thought it was fantastic, very funny in a dark kind of way. Heather Matarrazzo (?) is great. She plays a nerd suffering through school, like Napoleon, but I think her experience is even worse (blacker, crueler, more tortured). Napoleon didn't seem quite so anguished, just awkward and socially unskilled.

I'd have to disagree with most of the people here; I saw the movie, and I thought it was the worst, most horrible movie I've ever seen. It was just so plotless, humor-less, and dumb that it wasn't even funny. I would've been better off at home watching an informercial.

When I saw the new thread I was confused also because I was seeing the opening post and saw that the date was way before, I was like what? Until I realized that it was made into the 2nd thread.
