I GUESS lots of cricketers from the non test playing nations like ireland, holland could be well educated as they dont have the previlages that test playing nations enjoy...so they have 2 depend on other means for earning money.most of them have full time jobs back home
well i have always been curious 2 know the educational qualification of cricketers....

i know there aren't many well educated cricketers since for many ,they start pursuing full time cricket at a young age so they cant concentrate on studies..

how ever i know some cricketers who are well educated

kumara sangakarra-lawyer

anil kumble- software engineer

rudi van vurren(namibia cricketer) ...- surgeon (WOW..a doctor..and he represents his country in the rugby world cup also..lol)

stephen fleming-teacher(i think he is a masters in arts and was a teacher in some college)
flethcer - banker(has a bachelors in commerce and also a degree in mass media..i know since i am from west indies..and this guy is in windies team and attended the same school as my bro)

so do you know any cricketers PAST OR PRESENT WHO ARE WELL EDUCATED...i am curious 2 know
hey lesha..how u doin baby?? are u a bajan??

i am from jamaica..now living in usa :)

Sangakkara is the only cricketer i know with even partial tertiary education. he is (or was) a law student at Colombo uni. not a lawyer.

oh yeah, michael atherton the former english captain went to cambridge...read history.

I did not know Sangakkarra was a lawyer and Flecher has a Bachelor degree in mass communication, that is cool. it is good to see another West Indian. well i know that Ian Bradshaw is an accountant.

100% Jamaican.

Atherton read History at Downing College, Cambridge (Imran Khan did a PG at Cambridge too).

Nasser Hussain read Natural Sciences at Durham University.

Kumar Sangakkara - a law student of university of Colombo, when he was selected to the national team.
Heard that Jehan Mubarak was his opening batting partner in there university cricket team. Not sure about mubarak. But Sangakkara was a very bright student both in his school and the uni.
