I have 2 12" kicker comps in a 94 camry. i have a mtx 3202 amp. the subs work fine but it then shortly the subs stop working but the amp is still on and the amp neons still pulse as if the subs were still working.

i think its that the altinator in my car cant charge the battery fast enough and my woofers are taking too much power out. i need a new battery but it will just drain it very quick once i do.

any tips to fix the problem so i can keep the subs from turning off..?
any tips on power perserve.?
would a capasiter help?

thank you.

OH please.... a new battery... if you amp is still on then why would you need a new bat the amps already created the power its just putting it into the ground rather than the subs... its the amp that does all the powering the subs just take the power.
Check your ground... and other wires.
a capacitor wouldnt help in your situation

Did the subs ever come back on? if not, check the wiring of the subs in the box. The speaker wire could have come off the terminal. That would be the easiest troubleshooting step and would cost you know money, unless you had to buy a screwdriver, lol.

If the subs came back on, and this problem continued, it very well could be a ground issue. Check that, and maybe find a better ground location for the amp's ground wire. Bare metal directly to the frame of the car is a good start.

Good possibility that it is an overheating problem with the amp, make sure it is getting plenty of air and is not covered or blocked. Def look into upgrading the alt. and go to a dry cell battery. As well as look into a capacitor it will let you keep an eye on your voltage flow.
