my Sony xplod sounds better than my kicker l7?

[Full of Questions]

both are 12 in subs, both in sealed boxes, but the Sony hits 2x harder and sounds 3x cleaner sound... i thought the l7 would sound better
is this normal or is there something wrong with my l7?
