My Sidebar.php file has lost all the changes I made to it?

I am a relative newbie to Wordpress but I finally got several blogs running -- I had modified the sidebar.php file in each blog so that it had a couple of my own php includes -- so that I could feature information from my related website.

These includes were working fine until tonight. When I looked at my blogs tonight, they had none of the additional info that the includes usually import to the sidebar. So I looked at the Sidebar.php file, and all my php include statements were gone -- and this happened on a half-dozen different blogs.

I can't believe that I could have accidentally erased all these files or reset them. Is there any way that the sidebar.php file can be reset to a previous version of itself without the user knowing it?

Thanks!
Thanks for the e-mail. You were right. I checked with my hosting service and they say they installed a new version of Wordpress yesterday that would account for my templates reverting to their default values!

Hi,
You are in a bad problem. Check with your webhosting company where you host that website. If they regularly backup your website then you can ask them where they store the back up of your website.. it is possibly on the html folder under that domain domain name with something as wpbackup. Ask them and they can guide you since you are new. Most good website hosting company backup all the website every night or alternate nights.
