My Radio Security Code for my 1997 Honda Accord won't work! HELP!?

I have a security code, 24244, that is in my manual and it won't work.
It won't even beep it just says CODE on the screen and the red light flashes.
Anyone help? I don't know if this is the stereo serial # but 372A AB6N22 is inside the tape deck.
