N npa4863 Guest Feb 22, 2009 #2 my exploer dose that till you open the door or wait 5-10min.s and then it would shut off. try opening your door then closing it(with you still in it) and see if it shuts off because some cars are made to do that...

B benjamin_bdb Guest Feb 22, 2009 #3 If it's an aftermarket radio, I'm thinking whoever wired it up probably wired the 12+ wire and the ignition wire to the same circuit, so the radio is getting a constant twelve volts.
