I looked around at walmart, best buy, circuit city, and comp usa to see if people were lining up and none of those fuck ups had PS3s setup.
Wal mart had one in a case with the controller just sitting on top with some video or commercial playing on its screen. Best buy had a Wii sitting nicely in a case with the screen off and the controller locked inside next to it. it is a lot smaller than i imagined, then again the PS3 is a lil bigger than I imagined.
I agree that the PS3 has a bunch of mediocre titles for launch. Mostly half-assed rushed ports just put out there obviously to make a little extra money with the least effort possible put forth by the developers. I.E. Project 8.
Judging from the PS2's lineup and where it was headed, give it a while and i guarantee you will see some great games.
I think the lack of rumble was just stupid. It is such a staple in console gaming now and everyone is so used to it every game that comes out will feel like it is lacking that extra something. i have a hard time believing the reason being it interfering with the motion sensing.
Bottom line, the console may be great and have a lot of potential, but Sony definitely dropped the ball on this initial launch.
