My PS3 review

6months....it won't be readily available until at least 8 months from now...360 went through it...ps3 is going to be just as hard to obtain.

Maybe a year from now...I think that the competition is going to be harder to overcome. Regardless of console sales (which is going to hurt sony) they are going to be popular....more popular than MS or Nintendo(well...mayby not nintendo's price tag)...I think, however, that the game titles are going to be spectacular on any console which isn't going to make any of them better than the other.

The content is going to be just as great for each console.

But to stay on topic...Sony's launch is going to suck...Nintendo's launch will be the hottest item right next to the 360 this Christmas.

What's with the nit-picking straws you sackriders tend to grasp when it comes to the PS3?

You rag on the fact that the PS3 controllers dont come with a charging cable, yet the 360 controllers don't even come with rechargable batteries. Not to mention that the PS3 did one good thing and actually included a charging cable with their system, while I have to buy a $20 charge kit for my 360.

and the extra rechargeable battery pack if you have a 2nd controller you want to recharge, or another play and charge kit.
Seems about the same situation to me.

On a side note, demos arent actually usually used to show off. Often they are meant to be a little glimpse of things to come and aren't perfected at all. Hence the disclaimer usually displayed about the product being unfinished.

Once the console has been out and for a while and better games start coming out the demos might be designed more to showoff.

.

I also played it at bestbuy today, played motomadness or whatever it's called. Graphics looked pretty good, and when you crashed the slowmo was cool. nothing too great though.

Fuck Sony. Fuck Blu-ray. Fuck micropurchases. And fuck this launch.

It's all a bunch of bullshit that gamers shouldn't have to put up with.

Sony making Blu-Ray their "raw potential" and driving the price through the roof. For what? The same thing HD-DVD can do?

But Blu-Ray can hold oh so much more.... who the fuck cares? Developers these days hardly ever max out their games anyway, how do you expect them to do it on an even larger scale? We're talking about thousands of developers working on each project to make them worth the waste of money you're throwing towards Blu-Ray.

I mean, we're in a day and age where already games like Gran Turismo are trying to nickel and dime every last cent away from the consumer by making incomplete titles and selling the un-finished parts in small pieces online, must we encourage them further by giving them these great blue discs they can't even hope to fill?

It just doesn't make sense to me.

Probably should have put the "IMO" disclaimer. It is definately the best 360 game and best straightforward console shooter out now.
It has some room to be better though.
