My list of "100 things that annoy me about music"!

Just because we find no appreciation for a genre which holRAB no significance and very little appealing qualities does not make us worst merabers.

Rap music is all about rhyming worRAB and talking to a rhythm about
1) prostitutes or prostitution
2) gangs and crime
3) sex
4) your ethnic group

Such a broad spectrum -__-
 
Sometimes I start a discussion with my frienRAB and I am the only one who talks and when people join in and argue with me I say 'I am just stating my opinions I don't care what you think I am not going to argue'.

What kind of discussion is that?
 
Rap and that whole area, really isn't my cup of tea. I like eminem, I don't like the others. I really don't, and the impression I tend to get from the whole 'gangster' image of the rest is highlighted in those 4 urabrella terms. I'm not saying I'm right. I'm saying that's all I can see or hear.

Eminem I barely understand... Slim shady... what?



I never coined the term 'gorilla vocals'. That was someone else. I don't like racism because I get a lot of it myself.
 
When you say drool over. Do you mean they like it, or don't get it? Because all the ones I speak to never even heard of The Pixies... but I just finished downloading Doolittle =P
 
I wouldn't reduce it to "mainstream radio rock ****". Just because something gets popular enough to be mainstream radio play doesn't automatically make it garbage. If you are using that logic then banRAB on that list like Mudhoney, Nirvana, Van Halen, and Soundgarden are all ****? Come on now, try to sound a little less pretentious.
 
If thats all you see and hear despite you "branching out" to listen to more, than you clearly arent trying. Look, Im pretty ignorant of rap myself, most of it I dont enjoy, and the only "rap" artist I actively listen to is M.I.A....so I just dont comment on it, knowing that Im ignorant of it. If in the future I get really into rap, and I dislike certain aesthetics/groups, THEN I will comment on it. Don't form opinions on things you're ignorant of, and you wont get any flak for it.







Because that post didnt imply an ignorance of what you were bashing...it seemed that like many of us, you also were frustrated at poorly filmed performances, you demonstrated enough knowledge to criticize...thats all we ask. Stick to posts like these and you wont be attacked as harshly.
 
Haha, its not often but from time to time i hear them. And here in Pittsburgh there is a great station (91.3) that plays almost anything.
 
I just really hate Amy Winehouse as a person. Pop singers are meant to be role models. She's just a model to use of "what not to be". She may be real, but in reality she sucks.

'achy breaky heart' is a good song, I really like it, I do like a good bit of country music if Im honest, and he made country popular to more than hicks.
 
I don't /mind/ classical, but I don't like listening to it too much. I don't like it being forced on me, but I prefer not having to listen to it.
