my kawasaki klx 140l is running weird?

i have a 08 klx 140l and it don't want to run right it seems like it is choked down and when i take my muffler off and start it up a lot of black carbon shoots out of it and then i put my muffler back on and it runs fine for a about 2 hours and then it wants to quit on me are their any way i can make this better and then it has poor take off it does not want to take off right are their any help for this bike if is please tell me
 
Pull your spark plugs and have a look at the color of the insulator. If it is black-which I bet it is, change the plugs and next have a look at the level of oil in the machine. Is the engine oil too high? If so drain it and put the proper amount in. If the engine is running rich-get a manual and adjust the air/fuel screw-generally 2 turns out from LIGHTLY seated will be enough to get it started and then it is a matter of finesing it with the engine running-one cylinder at a time. adjust it in till the engine almost stalls, then turn it out till the engine almost stalls then put the screw half way between the 2 places.
