My in-dash video player wont work anymore... ?

I just bought a 7" Jensen In-Dash Multimedia Receiver model # JSN UV8020, and i installed it myself, and it worked fine, but the other day i took it out to try and rig the parking break wire so i could drive and have videos playing (for people in my car on trips and stuff, not me) and when i hooked everything back up, it wont come on. When i hit the reset button on the front the buttons light up, but when i hit the power button nothing happens. Iv checked every fuse and every wire i can think of, but everything is in order and hooked up. Could it just be a defective unit? but im thinking that i might of done something to it when i took it out of the dash... this sucks, what could it be?
 
check all of your wire conections ive had this happen to me on an install before and how did you "rig" your parking brake wire? if you want it to work while your driving (if anything happens dont blame me, I'm telling you how one would do this if someone wants to have the dvd player running while there driving) all a person would have to do is ground the parking brake wire
