My friend commissioned me a piece of art and how do I ask for a reminder for payment?

I have already drawn the commission art work exactly 2 months ago and he still hasn't paid. I worked harder than my average commission piece and he said he will pay by the end of August, which is a couple weeks past already. How should I ask for a reminder without looking like I'm desperate?
