my cd player wont work after my alternator broke in my 06 escape?

after getting the alternator fixed my cd player wont register the cds left in the 6 disc changer. it says no disc and load error. i cant get them to read or eject. is there a way to reset the cd player. ive tried removing the fuses already.
 
it may be like my jeep. after the battery died and i charged it i had the same problem. i disconnected the battery for a few seconds and then connected it and the problem fixed it's self
