My car's stereo aux only plays through left speakers. CDs and radio still play...

...through both.? It is a new stereo and it was working perfectly fine for awhile until I was playing my iPod and the right speakers just went mute. I think I need a new adapter (the ones with all the wires) that was installed with the stereo.
