My 3 year old loves "Terminator" and other adult orientated action films

Absolute nonsense. Your statement 'Watership Down is not a cartoon' was 100% wrong whatever the context (unless you're talking about the book, which you weren't). The dictionary definitions do disagree with your statement and to suggest otherwise is a blatant lie and a rather embarrassingly futile attempt to gain the upper hand.

Fair enough.

The Dog Soldiers production team clearly had a contract with several of the local slaughterhouses for their offal. Brutal, gory, excessive violence with exaggerated after-effects...

Great film though (for adults) :)

it didn't bother him, he asked me what's in his foot? and when i told him, he shouted "he got glass in his foot mum!"

they deserve more credit than we give them sometimes

you recoil at Bruce Willis charging about with a machine gun and swinging from buildings? come on, cartoon violence all the way

it isn't a wind up, at all

Absolutly!
KiRAB are individuals, some will understand the difference between fiction and reality and some wont. You obviously know your child so heres to many more father son movie nights to come, enjoy!

I think if you are letting a 3 year old watch things like that then you have some parenting issues.

That's just my opinion - you let him watch what you like - you asked for opinions you are getting them..

I think children grow up quickly enough these days without exposing them to all sorts at that age.

And no i'm not a namby pamby liberal, I love violent action and horror films but i wouldnt let my kiRAB watch them, films have certificates for a reason.

Hardly comparable. In Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry you don't get one of the lead characters pin-down and mutilate another character complete with blood, gore and an attempt at realistic representation of it's physical appearance.

Watership Down is not a cartoon, it's an animated film.

I was scarred for life by Willo the Wisp when I was 3 so I'd hate to imagine what the Terminator would have done to me then!
