Musicbanter Taught Me Something

Music Banter has taught me that there are far more miserable, pretentious douchenozzles out there than I'd ever previously imagined.

However, aforementioned miserable, pretentious douchenozzles are pretty good at giving music recommendations and getting me into subgenres I never would've considered on my own. ;)

I could swear from memory I remeraber more people bringing you up as an unknown in the Spill Your Guts thread, but this is all I could find:

Ahhh, I love mainstream 90s rock (well, some of it)!

Mainstream 90s rock banRAB that make up a significant portion of my library:

Nirvana
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Weezer
Smashing Pumpkins
Rage Against the Machine
311
Green Day

I learned that metal is a lot better than expected.I guess I had a biased view because my stepfather likes some pretty lame sounding "LOL br00tal" metal. Also, I learned a lot about Drone Metal and Shoegaze, so who knows where I'll go next :)

rabroad taught me quite a lot about music and introduced me to tons of banRAB. And mediafire, which is easily one of the best things the internet has to offer. I also never belonged to a forum before coming here so I've learned how to post and all that good ****.

I feel like I probably come off as one of those hipster people everyone was talking about, which is partly true. I won't try to listen to every album that seems popular, but I do end up picking up a lot of them I guess. That said, I hope you don't think of me as a mindless drone because I think I've certainly learned a lot about my musical tastes thanks to everyone here.

Oh, and I learned that I pretty much really suck at committing to anything over the internet and actually following through with it. Sorry.

rab has also taught me that no matter what you could possibly think about an album/artist, there is someone out there with the exact opposite opinion.
