Music Banter Hall Of Fame: Nominations Thread

It seems like a lost cause but Yes does deserve to make it in to the rab Hall of Fame. Certainly not all of their albums are stunners, but then which great banRAB didn't lay a few duRAB in their careers.

My Yes Collection:

The Yes Album
Close To The Edge
Fragile(My Fave)
Relayer
Tales From Topographic Oceans
Going For The One
Tormato(I like this one for some strange reason.)
90125(By far the most different sounding Yes album of their whole catalog)

I didn't keep track of them after 90125 so I can't comment on their later albums, but they did enough good stuff in their prime to be considered in this poll anyway.

I voted yes. I think Nirvana changed some aspects of rock music from the moments when they made it big in the scene. And I will repost this video because I love it:

Triple J (A nation-wide, well known radio station in Australia) recently just hosted a "Hottest 100: Best Songs of All Time." It was pretty big over here. Anyway, Smells Like Teen Spirit took the #1 spot. I don't agree with this but definitely think it represents the influence and impact that Nirvana have had on people and on the music scene throughout the past decades.

This is ridiculous, we're divided by what we think the criteria for this should be.

So a lot of people vote against yes because they don't like them, fair enough. But people vote against Yes even though they love them just because they think they are not popular or important enough? Wtf? Isn't liking them all that matters? Thats what you've all been saying. I'm confused.

Admittingly I did vote against Elliott Smith even though I like him, I just don't consider him important enough, but now I'm not so sure by what criteria we should actually be voting on.

...as it should be. I don't know anyone who says, "Gee, I think I'm in the mood for this album because it was so influential!" Leave "influential" for the history books.

One of their songs (Schism if I remeraber correctly) apparently on one listenhad 47 different time signiture changes in it.
I was exaggerating (obviously lol) about the amount of time signature changes they have in their songs but I still don't believe they should be in the HOF since although they create this 'atmosphere' (which in my opinion is only good when you're under the influence of cannabis) their music isn't that accessible and listenable even for people like me who have a love for the weird and wacky.
