I liked Jennifer Garner in Alias, but over time I was like; aye? I thought 13...30 was a big ball of useless fluff. It was a feel-good ending and all but please.

Colin Farrell opened my eyes so wide in Phonebooth. I had let the headlines in, you know drunk irish womaniser, but that movie; he has amazing talent, I watched it with my friend and we were completely riveted, totally involved in the movie; eg; "no! don't shoot him!" I can't wait for Alexander. It's going to be a great movie. Cause I like Val Kilmer too, even though he's a 'difficult' actor.

I'll have to go with Ethan Hawke.

I think he is severely underrated.

The man can act and picks roles that really allow him to act -- even if the critics don't think the roles do -- Such as "Training Day" and "Great Expectations" and he knows the craft of storytelling inside and out.

He is also a director (modern day version of Hamlet w/ Julia Stiles) and screenwriter (co-wrote Before Sunset w/Julie Deply), but he is still pigeonholed as a "pretty boy" from Texas and I still don't get why?

I'm a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio because he puts his money where his mouth is OFF screen and is doing all he can to help the environment and doesn't seem to be corrupted by all the fame and fortune he attained at such a young age.

In contrast, I also think a lot of the younger actors are overrated as well.

I think actresses like Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Hilary Duff et al. are overrated and overhyped. I think their acting appeals to a very limited audience that isn't over 18, and I have yet to see any of them in a role that really stretches them and makes me believe they ARE the character they are playing and not just a character. Same for Orlando Bloom and others.

Check out the trailer for America Ferrera's new film

A million miles away from the character of Ugly Betty.I'm really looking forward to it.

for as long as i can remember i have not like josh hartnett at all..then i saw 30 Days of Night and i thought that the movie and him were amazing so i saw it again still amazing. then today i watched Lucky Number Slevin and i was pretty sure that i wasn't going to like it because of him but once again josh and the movie were amazing. so now i love josh!!

Yes, Leo. But the movie that hit me with him is What's Eating Gilbert Grape. He was so good as Ernie. If he wasn't an actor, I'd say he really is a retard. And his role made the movie more heartfelt so I really really adore him on that.

Brad Pitt - Legends of the Fall. I never really liked Brad before. I mean, he's okay but I never gushed about his performances and looks. Tristan Ludlow was amazing, that's all I can say.

check him in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" he was 19 and an absolute solid performance. don't miss it...

Uhhh... definitely Ennis and Jack Twist in Brokeback Mountain... such a great movie BTW.

John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction". I had always considered him not much of an actor, but his Vincent Vega showed me he could play a convincing performance if given the right role.

I just want to remind everyone:

It is against the rules to talk about an actor (or other real life person) in a derogatory way. Criticizing an actor is alright as long as it's done in a respectful and non insulting way.

Thank you,

I know what you mean, forget about the rest of them. I can't ever take them seriously

And yay! I'm glad you said you'll watch it, you should  Aside from Zac, the rest of the cast was great too - the grown-ups were all entertaining (although Chris Walken's performance falls a bit flat for me), and the newcomers Nikki Blonsky and Elijah Kelley were just excellent. Plus the film is just so entertaining and feel-good, the music so catchy, you can't help but enjoy it!

I saw Pulse recently, and I wasn't very impressed with Kristen Bell. I've only seen her in Heroes so far (not watched Veronica Mars yet), where she's entertaining to watch, but I don't know what happened in Pulse, she wasn't very good. I was a bit surprised and taken aback, to be honest. The whole movie was crap though, so maybe that's the problem.

Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta.... I had only ever seen her in Star Wars and I thought she was bad, but her performance in V was great to me. I'll be a lot less quick to dismiss her now.

while there's nothing wrong with that and I would prefeer a different term, how so?

I have to agree on Russell Crowe. I didn't think much of him, but then I saw The Sum of Us and it was beautiful and moving in many ways and he did a good job.

I'd have to say I've been a fan of DiCaprio since seeing What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I had an aunt who was mentally retarded and his preformance reminded me off her in many ways.

Well you will like Hairspray. I refuse to watch any of the HSM movies because I think they are so so so lame. The characters are just ridiculous! Zac definitely grew up in Hairspray. He actually looks like a man and acts like one to. But Hairspray has so many good actors in it that it will blow you away.

Nikki Blonsky really did well in this movie!

I remember watching Christian Bale from Newsies and thinking he's ok in that. But then I saw him in Empire and the Sun (at only thirteen) and he blew me away. He actually outshines John Malkovich who I consider to be one of the best actors out there and he did it as a kid. I know he will never live down most of what has happen, they will make jokes about it years to come. But I still think he's a pretty great actor.

I have to agree with this all around. It's not that she couldn't act, it's that she's always been in really bad movies (with the exception of 2 Days in the Valley, which was more weird than bad).

I had never really liked Leonardo DiCaprio until I saw him in The Aviator. His hardcore liberal views always got on my nerves. I know I sound that sounds silly but he was a big fan of Farenheit 9/11. My view on him changed when I saw him in The Aviator. He did an excellent job as Howard Hughes. I could have seen him getting the Oscar that year over Jamie Foxx. I had always seen DiCaprio as the troubled kid on Growing Pains and as the annoying American in Titanic. Seeing him in The Aviator made me see him as a serious actor.

Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine I didn't like him as an actor I went to watch the movie cause I like Elijah Wood and I think that Kate Winslet is fantastic and Jim was a really surprise for me his acting was great then my bf told me that he was great also in the Truman Show and he was right.
I guess that after the Mask I had a bad concept of him but those movies changed my mind.

I always disliked Mila Kunis, but found her really enjoyable in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I think it's the first time she didn't annoy me.

And I agree with everyone who mentioned Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine. He really surprised me, and in a good way
