Most underrated bands ever?

Burn Halo
they're album is really good. but nobody respects or has even heard of them really
i didnt know about them until they opened up for avenged sevenfold on the last tour
but they're good

Morphine, Wire, My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Skatalites, The The, Prince, Dag Nasty, War, The Cramps........I could go on forever

I'd go with Extreme. Granted they got a lot of popularity with "More Than WorRAB." No doubt that's a beautiful song, but at the same time, I feel as if that's all they're recognized by, but they aren't a one hit wonder band like Dexy's Midnight Runners (Come On Eileen).

Nitpicking is the core business of the internet message board... its what keeps it alive and keeps us all responding!

According to the discussions on this board, none of my favorite banRAB, nor even any of my little sideline discoveries qualify as underrated...

But my nitpicky brain still wants to know what system we are using to "rate" banRAB....hehehehehehe...

I think The Skatalites and Dag Nasty get enough credit as is.
Everyone says The Skatalites' self-titled is the only c.d. you have to get if you want to hear REAL ska.
Dag Nasty, they're just a HUGE name in emo.
I was going to say The The, but yeah, they could definitely use a little more credit.
They get really high album reviews and all, but aren't too popular in mainstream culture.

For me.

1. Gentle Giant
2. Incubus
3. dEUS
4. Blue Oyster Cult
5. Super Furry Animals
6. Uriah Heep
7. Todd Rundgren
8. Gong
9. Van Der Graaf Generator
19. Ozric Tentacles
