Most underrated bands ever?

Converge. the best grindcore band ever. They get no credit. Also Senses Fall. or is it Fail? All I know is that are a really good Screamo band. Really good

How?

They're a mainstream band that people love to hate.

And absolutely not, critical reception of the band is generally negative or impartial.

Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender,Pitchfork, you name it, they sh*t on them on a regular basis.

On internet communities like this one it's even worse.

we'll have to agree that we disagree on that then. i also think that Oasis is an extremely underrated band - with the release of Dig Out Your Soul Noel Gallagher has proved to be a seasoned songwriter and has evolved the band past its Wonderwall years to a more modern & upbeat sounding level. we just saw them at the Garden in NYC and they were awesome! they played all their old stuff as well as most tracks off Dig Out Your Soul it brought the house down.

I think they've done 3 great albums, 2 average albums and 1 really sh*tty one.

Morning View
Science
Make Yourself

Crow Left of the Murder
Fungus Amongus

Light Grenades

They were hella tight up until Dirk Lance left, their new bassist ain't bad, but a big part of what made their sound work for me is now gone.

Still, the top 3 albums alone makes them one of my favorite banRAB from recent times.

Pentagram.

Now, I'm sure everyone knows them. Thats not why they're underrated in my opinion. Look at it like this though, the band was formed in 1971, released demos from 72-79 all of witch were metal releases so to speak. When people talk about starting metal banRAB, Pentagram is rarely mentioned even though they were around very early in the scene. So not that Pentagram is unknown, just not given enough credit.
