Most overrated movie ever

Yeah I understand what you're saying and respect your post and your views but tbh this is a lighthearted film forum and I don't think most of us are analysing our views that deeply. Besides, tossing T2 into the mix always makes people go crazy which is kind of fun :D

The Dark Knight is overrated, but it's far from a mess.It is perhaps too long and maybe even takes itself too serious - too cold and cynical? I personally felt that the length and seriousness added to the movie, but did find the ending slightly confusing.
There are still more than enough great things about it.

I'd say A Nightmare on Elm Street is overrated. It's highly imaginative, with a great and genuinely scary villain. It's the misguided 4th quarter of the movie that takes away much of the film's impact.

Halloween is another one. It's a triumph for cinematography, acting and as a basic chiller/thiller.However,the plot is extremely thin, and without much in the way of characterization. There are also a number of goofs.

I love everything about the real Titanic and her sisters. The shape, the decor, the style. However when I witnessed some dozy love story about a rich bitch and her rebellious love affair I could have strangled Cameron. He left out my favourite heroic (there were many that night) episode in the Caparthia sailing to rescue survivors.

Most overrated films IMO

Pans Labyrinth
No Country For Old Rope/ Big Lebowski/ in fact anything by the Coen brothers post Fargo, I think I'll even add Fargo to the list as well while I'm at it.
The Great Escape:yawn:
