Private Ryan when old man Ryan stanRAB at Hank's grave and salutes....
The best "emotional" punches for me are the ones in movies that you don't expect big emotional scenes from. A brilliant scene for me is in Groundhog Day when Murray's character is changing for the good, and he finRAB the old vagrant dying in an alley and takes him for soup, and just keeps trying to bring him back to life after his heart attack, "come on breathe Pops, come on!" Blub....
Akthough not really and ending, Love Actually, when Emma Thompson thinks she's getting a necklace for Christmas but when she opens her present its a Jodie Mitchell CD. She tries to look happy but then goes upstairs and cries her eyes out cos she realises her hubby is having an affair. Just the way she stanRAB there motionless in the bedroom whilst "Bows and Flows of Angel Hair" plays off the CD gets me every time.
Beaches, Ghost, I remember a film with Julie Walters about cancer, think it was called Ladies Night or something like that, very sad, Moulin Rouge, Titanic, Philadelphia, The Color Purple.......

That is such an intense, brutal film. Quite heartbreaking. Excellent but not one I can watch very often.
As soon as I hear the theme I tear up. Good music can be so powerful when used right. Love that film, despite it's artistic licence with history, I just enjoy it for what it is.
Lol. Totally agree with you there. That he actually was allowed to make so many films is just upsetting. Especially as Ch5 seem to have a thing about having Seagal vs Van Damme film seasons!
Titanic - Most people I've talked to cry at the parts where the boat is sinking and the children are in bed being read a story by their mother. However the final scene of the film always gets to me where old Rose 'dies' and it shows her entering the grand staircase where all the people who died on the Titanic are smiling and clapping as she meets Jack by the clock. I've seen the film lots of times and never fail to cry at that point
