Most emotional ending to a film you've seen?

I surprised that this film hasn't been mentioned more often. Its the first one that I think of when it comes to emotional endings.
The bit that really makes me cry is when Robert Donat says 'We shall not see each other again I think' - the last worRAB he says in the film.
Donat died not long after the film was finished and that these were his final screen worRAB is incredibly moving.

My 3 year old boy has Down syndrome and this film is the first one to get his full attention.....my little boy starts crying the first time Wall-E folRAB himself up into a box and rocks himself to sleep in his home....everytime Wall-E or Eve get into trouble, he has a really worried look on his face....so cute and makes me shed a tear sometimes!

There's a few of mine that have already been mentioned, like Gorillas In The Mist, Beaches, I Am Sam, Green Mile.

But, for me, the final scene to Ghost has always been the saddest scene i've ever seen, that beautiful piece of music does it for me as well as the line: "I love you Molly, i've always loved you." to which she replies with, "Ditto."
Beautiful film:)

I just finished watching "Requiem for a Dream". This is only the second time I've ever seen the film, and I was astonsihed at how emotional I felt during the last chapter.

When the mother is being shocked, when the girlfriend is having sex with another girl in front of a group of men for money, when the Harry has to have his arm amputated and when Tyrone is in prison.

Although they basically got what they deserved - well, perhaps the mother was a different case, but still an 'addict' nontheless - I couldn't help feeling deeply sorry for them (well, that's the point, I guess).

When I seen the mother at the end, standing there, in an asylum, looking all haggered, depressed and really ill, I got a lump in my throat, and adding to that, those two old ladies crying because of it!

I don't think any other film has had this affect on me  I rarely get emotional in films. I do sympathise sometimes, but not this much. Strange...

What's yours? (use spoilers if needed :p)

has to be luv actually for me but most emotional films get me lol. im such a big wimp. i even cried at lethal weapon 4 wen he is talkin bout froggy....

Jude! (the Obscure)

Such an under-rated film.

Why does it not get shown on the TV?

Kate and Chris are brilliant in it. :)

Thomas Hardy's story ain't bad either! ;)

My votes -

Monsters Inc (Sully saying goodbye to Boo)

Bambi (ALL OF IT - even the happy bit at the end when he's
all grown up standing on the edge of the rock)

Carousel (Double whammy of You'll Never Walk Alone twice in the last half hour or so! Gets me every single time)

Showboat (Ava Gardner left on the dock at the end to the strains of Old Man River) If I see 1 sec of that sequence i'm off.

Forrest Gump (was bawling for 10mins on that one, not quite as bad on subsequent viewings)

Dumbo (Baby Mine sequence when the mother is locked up. Watched it recently with my little boy and got some very strange looks from him at that point as the tears rolled down my face)

oh and the last I watched ET i started before the spaceship had even landed to take him home and didn't stop until the credits!

My wife thinks I'm mad but then she will cry just as much as other things... Doctor Who has been a blubber for her recently.
