how about the song - Hallelujah (written by Leonard Cohen) - the Jeff Buckley version.. Thats a great song, it can be quite a depressing listen tho. His version especially, with the sad ending rather than the original.
I've always thought Gilbert O'Sullivan's 'Alone Again (naturally)' was really depressing. I think it's because of the contrast of the happy tune and the lyrics that just make it so sad...
Oh yes. This is exactly what I was going to say. An extremely dark band, but pretty good. A great drumer and surprisingly very catchy at times.
They lift me up. Good n light for a pickmeup, if youre listening to the newer, and if youre listening to the old, its more like fast paced anger release than depressing.
But , music is all down to opinion. Thats just my take on it.
Eternal Tears of Sorrow? Or Mortal Love, their song "I Want to Die"... Celtic Frost, Sunn 0))), Leslie Gore (Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows makes me want to kill myself, but i still listen to it).
