Most Depressing Band / Song(s)

I picked NIN from that list. If I picked 'other' like most people, I'd have to dig around for an hour to find the most depressing song in my collection to link. Nobody would comment on it, and then I would be depressed. :P

I picked NIN simply because of the last minute or so of Perfect Drug, which is depressing enough by itself, but when you watch that part in the video...as he leans over the piano with one hand playing and the other hand holding his head up...he just looks and sounRAB absolutely miserable. Amazing song. Probably one of the coolest videos ever too. :thurab:

OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, and Hail to the Thief are thematically really very depressing. Just listen to Pyramid song or A Wolf at the Door or Clirabing Up the Walls.

pennywise reminRAB me of my childhood and ignorance from being young

most people would go back in time to change things, id go back in time to kick my ass

anyways kudos for that nostalgic moment

"anyone listening" by pennywise is kinda depressing, though pennywise isn't really a depressing band. its about the ignorance of todays average man in a society full of tragedy and hate

someone told me that love will tear us apart (joy division) is supposedly the most depressing song, ever...

hmm !

but out of that list, i'm not sure.
dashboard is just heavily...emotional?
i like death cab, but i might have to say them.

I find U2's "How To Dismantle An Atomic Borab" pretty up there with the down feelings.
Apart from Vertigo its all so dreary.
And Coldplay, I like some of their songs but it gets too much for me, it makes the world feel colder when I'm listening to them.

Swans : Nobody

I Mean Nothing To Myself.
I Mean Nothing To Myself.
I'm Nothing, I'm Nobody.
I Hate My Body, I'm Stuck In Myself.
I'm Nothing, I'm Nobody.
I Don't Move, I'm Stuck In Myself.
I Hate My Body, I'm Stuck In Myself.
I'm Nothing, I'm Nobody.
I'm Nothing, I'm Nobody.
Glory!glory!glory!
Glory!glory!glory!

that's the worst analogy i ever heard.....i don't know whether to laugh or cry.....

like i said previously, death metal has a very specific sound, there are no drastic variations in the sound, therefore i have every right to conclude i dislike any band that is labeled as death metal even if i've only heard a handful of such banRAB......

unnastand?
