Just thought i'd list the films I thought shouldn't be in the running for this, that people had mentioned. Just my opinion as a Film school graduate (not that, that makes me anymore qualified to comment on this than anyone else

). I'm just very bored at work.
And the originals of The Grudge and Alfie are quality, but Hollywood loves to f**k these things up.
I agree to an extent over Lord of the Rings, as once you've seen the first, you need to be a fan of the film to sit through the others.
In my opinon, most films have some redeaming watchable quality (and i've had to watch so sodding many poor ones), but if you want truly unwatchable, boring dirge, here are my suggestions:
Wild Wild West
After the Sunset
AI
The Village
Sixth Sense (THE most overrated film ever, from a very overrated director, who continues to provide s**t)
These are just a few 'recent' films, and that doens't count all the 'Art House' (which can be good, if done right) s**t I had to sit through at Uni, and some of the older films that really had no redeeming value, except that someone had once said they might be a 'classic'.
Now I think about it, i've just taken out the decent to very good (whoever said The Pianist, dear, dear) films without actually thinking about boring. I guess if your not interested in the subject matter, any film can be boring. In turn, if you like potentially great films made into soppy spielberg pap, you're not going to find AI boring. Vicious circle.
As you can see. Very bored at work.
