Mini-Review The Song Above You

I really liked it at first but when the saxaphone came in, so did the cliches and I just ended up feeling pissed off by the end.

? they sound almost nothing alike, the ONLY similarity is a slightly similar bassline, and also this song was released before the radiohead song, and plus dntel worked over 5 years on durab luck (the album "Rock My Boat" is from) so if you're going to acuse anyone of copying music then acuse radiohead.

P.s. i like both banRAB, but please get your facts straight :)

radiohead - in rainbows - October, 10 2007
dntel - durab luck - April 24, 2007

Sabbath Asserably covers the hymn music from the 1960's Doomsday Cult called "The Process Church Of Final Judgement"....i also have a pdf file of all the original sheet music and all of Robert DeGrimston's (the founder of the cult) books.....if you are interested

i'll continue with Process Church inspired music

I couldn't get through it. The beat was too repetitive and seemed to have absolutely no form whatsoever, it was just very random. The vocals also irritated me, too grating and loud. 2/10

Jangly, I like it! It's poppy and upbeat and something you can definitely have fun listening to, and listen to it multiple times. Thank you for this! 8.5/10

Der Blutharsch is interesting in the fact that they completely changed their sound half way through their career...with no leading up to the change.....their early stuff is a 100% perfect example of Martial Industrial music.....martial marching style drums, borabastic symphonic interruptions, and samples of military speeches mainly European, intermixed with sullen lyrics about destruction....if you want to hear that i suggest starting with 'The Moment Of Truth' and 'The Track Of The Hunted'....then in 2003 they headed in a completely different direction and started making striking dark psychedelic pop music....their last album 'Flying High'..which that track is from...is just an amazing album of pure nihilistic psychedelic pop music....as dreary as it is trippy...think Pink Floyd at its darkest and them move down to the real gates of hell.....it's taken me years to even really listen to their last couple of albums....being such a fan of their early albums....but i am now starting to see what they are doing and why its more of a progression in a really good way

^Hmmm...it starts promising and has some really catchy moments, but too often likes to beat it over the head and ventures in some rather generic territory. So instead of making me wanna dance all the way through, it was actually beginning to bore me. 5/10
