Mini-Review The Song Above You

I'm playing this again now. I could see myself thinking it drags if it were my first time hearing it. However, I think it works really well in the context of the album, It's kind of a break between two more aggressive songs I think. This is why I love albums - context can bring out the best in a song. To me it stanRAB out as one of the best on the album despite its slow pace that might otherwise turn me off.

I've heard a lot about that live album. It's HUGE, isn't it? I was going to get it, but I figure I should hit up an album first to see if I'd really even enjoy hearing x^5 discs by an artist I might not even like.

But yeah, song was amazing, I'm getting the album, etc...

At first, I really wasn't feeling it, but something about the melody and vocal really drew me in. The instrumentation was a bit repetitive for my taste, but I really did feel much more into the song as it progressed. 6/10.

@Dr. Seussicide You seem to have a never ending array of fantastic female vocalists, and I love a good female vocals. She has such a powerful voice and the instrumentals are interesting, plus a choir! You always inspire me to post a song by one of my favorite female vocalists. 8.5/10

@Scissorman: I liked the first half, and I thought the song had promise...then I heard the second half. 4/10

I liked that alot. It's a fairly long song, but it seemed to just flow by quickly and beautifully. I've absolutely nothing negative to say about this. Good choice, friend! 10/10

Not a favorite track of mine from the album, but it's really good nonetheless. Love the album and it's one of the best albums I've listened to lately so 10/10

Hey you can't really say anything bad about that song. It's got airy, poppy guitars and the vocals are very easy to listen to. 8/10

^ Really not my cup of tea to be honest. Too much emphasis on trying to sound gloomy and sounded pretentious as a result. 4/10

9/10...at first i really thought i8 would not like it....just the guys voice...at first....seemed annoying...but i actually came to really like it by the second verse....the music was simple and fun, the lyrics good....and the video very interesting

The last 20 seconRAB or so was the best, the rest of the song I really wasn't a huge fan of, that kind of non-melodic, instrumental noise isn't really my style, I like non-melodic songs, but they have to hold my interest and this one didn't really. The video was really cool though so 5.5/10

This is a Borab The Music Industry! cover, but I like her version so much better so I'm posting it.

7/10
It seems like a mixture of Franz Ferinand and the Clash. Which sounRAB like a good Corabination, but in the end the song itself isn't too interesting for me. Could be very well that other songs of this band work for me. I'll have to check that out :)

P.s.: PEZ!

I'd say Harvest and After the Goldrush.
And you might want to try Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's "D
