i enlisted in the marine corps not that long ago. My recruiter discharged me because i wouldn't answer his phone calls (what a baby) anyway i really want to join the army... is there any way i can still do this even with my discharge

i dont see why not, he actually did u a favor bc i think you cant talk to two branches at once so now your arent connected with the corps so u can now talk to army....just tell the army you could answr your phone bc you lost it....they wont care

Did you fail to return his phone calls or did you fail to show up on your ship date? In any case you were never active I would assume and were enlisted in the DEP. In that case you need to check that they gave you an administrative discharge and after that you can go screw with another recruiter if you wish. If you didn't answer the phone he could only assume you were in a coffee house in Amsterdam and never to return so calling him a baby for your own immature actions seems more than a bit out of line. P.S. Do not go to the Army recruiter in your hometown, they all have your name and if you don't think the recruiters do not talk to each other AF, Navy, Marines and Army then you are deceiving yourself once again for being naive.

You don't have a "discharge", as you were never in the military. He simply dropped you from the program because they lost contact with you. I suppose he thought that if you couldn't even comply with basic requirements like answering the phone you shouldn't be a Marine. I agree.

So, since you've never been discharged, you can join the army.

Yes you can enlist again. You were never in the military. You were released from your contract and not discharged.

And I am sure he released you for more then just ignoring his calls.
