I'm not going to be a fanboy on this one.
But I will say that there are some aspects of XBL that I enjoy. For instance, multiple downloads, which are qued (sp?) after the first one. I enjoy browsing the marketplace while blasting my music. I also like the many things you can download like music, graphic packs, etc.
While the Playstation online experience is cool, I will say the lacking of the Playstation Store is what kills it for me. I mean two months and there is hardly anything. The GT HD demo is great but I've been burning my time on College Football 07. I watch Blu-ray and DVD movies with it. There isn't anything outside of Resistance that's like "OMG!" So you'd want the online store, the face of Sony entertainment to have SOMETHING worthwhile.
Sudoku is great, but I can only stand looking at numbers for so long.
So, my point is, as far as playing online games, PSonline is great, meeting and in some cases, beating XBL. Unified gamer tags is gay. So are gamescores. Its as intelligent as many OTers stroking their massive e-cocks. But content (marketplace and products offered) and how its offered, XBL has Playstation Online beat... badly.
