I had a Microdiscectomy on L4 august 31, 2006. Before having the surgery I suffered 4 months going to chiropractor, physical therapist. My husband was told by the doctor that performed the Microdiscectomy that my nerve was so hot. I had no idea that after having the surgery that I would still be in so much leg/lower back pain. It has been a long recovery for me because I was/am unable to take the Neurontin to help calm the damage nerve down.
On several post-op visit the surgeon notice that I wasn't recovering like he thought I should....he suggested placing a nerve stimulator in my back. I told him I didn't want. He then seem a little short with me and told me to try physical therapy, water therapy, or just endure the suffering for about three years. Since my last post- op visit I have tried (again) the physical therapist, the water therapy, desensitining along with the DRX9000. None of that help. I am exhausted from having a constant backache everyday, and my left leg is still sensitive/nurab to touch. I don't want this thing place in my back, but i am so exhausted until i don't know whatelse to do....oh yeah I tried walking to recondition my leg. My left leg is so weak after not being able to use it for so long. Sitting for a long period of time is my worse enemy
( I am a secretary). I am reaching out for help through the here.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME
P.S
I am so sorry this was so long.
