Not at all.

What people tend to forget or don't understand is that a rock hitting someone in the head can knock them out or kill them.

A police officer sees that as a threat in that they not only lose consciousness but that they will lose their weapon as well and now you have attackers with guns.
Getting shot while unconscious by your own gun is not an option.

So when a group starts chucking rocks, it's not just goofing around and yes, police/military will use lethal force in return.

Right, a fourteen year old dirt poor mexican kid should be held responsible for keeping tabs on our political climate.

That video was gnarly: bike guy arrives with serious back-up, grabs one kid and forces him to the ground. The other kids retreat to mexico then throw a rock--you can see one skipping in the wash/rio grande(lousy arm)--to help their friend...so bike guy(wearing his helmet!) fires and kills a kid across the border.

you make the call...

If that is what a border patrol agent should do, then we had better start sending mall security to do their jobs because frankly they perform better and probably cost less.

Not in defense of the state, in defense of the genome. If you are goddamn retarded enough to assault a uniformed armed officer you shouldn't be breeding.

Oh now what's your problem? You think I tried to call you a liar so you had to call me a liar ten times...ah it was the retarded person A and B comment I already responded to way back when. What makes you think I give a shit about your superfluous bullshit?

They did the right thing: chased the kids back across the boarder. And then they did the wrong thing: execute a child on his own land. You don't have to be a libtard to recognize right and wrong.

How do you determine intent? Under-hand toss is being playful, over-hand is attempted murder?

What if he just LOOKS like he's going to throw the rock, and you don't even know if it's to wound, scare, kill, be funny, play, intimidate, whatever?

Thanks. It's nice to know at least someone in the void has a head that is not lodged in a different void.

Simple question. If you had a gun, and some 6'2" 210lb person (how big I was at 14 years old) was hurling baseball sized rocks at you, what would you do?

I'm not asking for one of your typical bullshit deflections that doesn't actually answe the question like "WELL I WOULDN'T MURDER AN INNOCENT CHILD!", I'd like to know what exactly your plan of action would be to avoid having your skull caved in, if not to shoot the person attacking you.

Then they're kinda fucking stupid, considering the 'history' of head injuries in that particular area...at least that is what the context you were accusing others of dropping suggests, isn't it?

So...if 'common sense' is the rule by which the child 'deserved' to get shot, then is it not also the rule by which the officer (or his superior) 'deserves' to get fired for not wearing the appropriate gear, therefore having to resort to the gun?

Totally. And knowing there is a good chance of someone throwing rocks at you, it's a superb idea to charge three people, take one down, then resort to firing away when you suddenly realize this wasn't such a great fucking idea.
