Memento

Surely there must be a lot of fans of this film out there?? Watched it again last night for the umpteenth time & still loved it. However when I try to recommend it to a mate etc, they aren't keen on it. Maybe I'm selling it wrong :( :D

Its one of my fav films, i lent to some of my mates and they loved it too.

Although when my sister watched it she completley missed the point of the whole film and didnt understand it

I've only seen this once, but I loved it. i must admit it's my kind of film, enigmatic with a twist. I like films like that.

If you've liked Memento then you might like Identity, Fight Club, Angel Heart and Sixth Sense. Someone also recently recommended Primal Fear and Colour of Night but I haven't seen these yet.

I'd definitley add The Machinist, with the great (and skinny)Christian Bale, if you like films with a twist.

Very good film, only a fiver at most stores, too.

A fantastic film. I'd fancied it since it had a cinema release and bought it as soon as it came out on DVD without having seen it. Watched it with the missus that night and we were both glued to it. As soon as it finished we had a big talk about the plot, then spent an hour looking for things about it on the net, then went and watched it all over again. A superb film.

I found it too complicated and mind bending. Maybe if I saw it again I might like it better. I find that with most films that I understand them better with two to three viewings.

I liked it enough to get it on DVD, although in places it was a bit obvious.

I think I prefer the director's earlier film Following. It is told in a similar, fragmented style albeit with less justification. Worth looking out for. I saw it on FilmFour back when that was a decent channel.

MEMENTO is a fantastic film. Would definitely be in my all time Top 10. I think Christopher Nolan is proving himself to be one of the best directors around at the moment.

I'm with the OP, I adore it. I've watched it several times, and it actually took me 2 or 3 times to work out exactly what was going on. Maybe I'm thick, or maybe I enjoy it because I do not always take films at face value.

I find it hard to see how anyone can take in every little clue in one watching of the film, you'd have to have an almost supernatural memory to do that surely? But looking at some of the other posts in this thread I guess it's just me being slow :o

I had a hard time working out if Teddy was a good guy or a bad guy, if he is really Leonard's friend or not. I did get a bit confused, but I persevered and watched it again just to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I wrote down the plot so that I could re-sequence it and be sure. I got a bit obsessed :D (but I really like Guy Pearce ;)). Obviously I've worked it all out now, backwarRAB and forwarRAB, but I'd still watch it again if only for the atmosphere and pathos of the film.

The concept of the film is excellent,, the way it is done is unique, the storyline intriguing, Guy Pearce's acting brings a lump to my throat, as does the music. It's one of the highest scoring films I've found of the ones I like on imdb (most of the films I like seem to be rated at least 7.8 so I reckon I have pretty normal taste amongst film lovers).

I love, love love the film. Carrie Anne Moss and Joe Pantaliano are also brilliant co-stars. I love Carrie Anne Moss in this so much more than in the Matrix. I love the Matrix too, but she demonstrates her acting talent so much more in Memento.

Also, Pearce is very attractive :o
