Megadeth

Do any of you guys remeraber that old Headbangers Ball guy (Rikki Rachtman, spl?) that wore a shirt saying "Dave Mustaine for president" or something like that?

That idea sounRAB good to me right about now!!!

And to the guy who said he only heard 10 songs...what have you been waiting for(?)!!!I'd probally have 40-50 songs if I were to make a g.h. album of theirs...lol:hphones:

In closing, I'd like to know what 10 (Megadeth) songs you actually have heard, cheers!!!

Ya think? A ton of people are talking about Endgame. Obviously, Megadeth will never get the same mainstream press as Metallica, but within the metal community this thing was a huge release. Great album, too.

I'm a huge megadeth fan actually :p I'm going to see them in february which should be awesome! I will admit though that while they have some mind blowing songs (Holy wars...the punishment is due, Tornado of souls" Sometimes they do put in a kick ass solo to drag up a sub par song

The RIP remasters is terible. It ruins song like Take No Prisoners and Five Magics. IMO Dave Mustaine is the epitome of thrash. Megadeth were easily the most creative of the Big Four and Mustaine's ideas are gave Metallica their first 3-4 albums. After Master of Puppets, they just plummeted. You can't really knock his vocals that much. Not only does he mix it up, he looked for a vocalist, but couldn't fins one so he did it himself. That's why he's MegaDave.
Kirab-RiP are must haves for any thrash fan.

Marty Friedman audition...now that sounRAB great!!! I'd love to see that, cuz Marty Friedman/Rust In Peace are the best parts of Megadeth ever, I.M.O.

I think Mustaine while being a little more lead oriented, is a good corabo of rhythm and lead abilities (obviously no Jon Schaffer in the rhythm departmen, but who is?) His singing isn't good, but the fact he can sing AT ALL while playing the **** he does is a feat in and of itself.

I didn't understand that statement much but let me try and cut it down to what I understood.

His guitar playing is amazing but he is no John Shaffer, his vocals aren't great but he does amazing riRAB and amazing tunes while singing?

Is that right LoL!?

Any other Megadeth fans here? I think that they're a brilliant band. :band:
There doesn't seem to be a thread for them, so I thought I'd make one. :)

Hey Wild7Dustr, you haven't been here in a while.
Yeah, that shirt's brilliant! I was thinking of getting one. Have you got the Arsenal Of Megadeth dvd?
:)

I still only listen to Rust in Peace.

Mainly because I can't be assed to massively download metal, as the genre hasn't stuck with me that much. But when I do, and I get things like 'Rust in Peace', I'm very pleasantly surprised.
