Meet the Spartans

Saw the trailer for this yesterday (you can see it at meetthespartans.com) after being sent a text about it by a friend. Looks like the usual sort of rubbish that I'll probably go and see anyway, but most significant thing of all was who plays Leonidas in it...

None other than our very own Sean Maguire!

well i just watched it earlier (perfect quality R5 doing the rounRAB online).

I thought Epic Movie was one of the worst films ever committed to celluloid this side of "Hostel", so I had no real expectations and I have to say I found it very funny.

I honestly spent most of the film chuckling away and even laughed out loud on more than a few occasions.

Sure, they tend to "over spoof" in a lot of cases by trying to cram too much in, but that aside I am surprised to say i did like it - but then I accept that it won't be to everyone's sense of humour.

That is the exact opposite of Uwe Boll haters. They bad mouth his movies before they have even seen them. I think it was Uwe Boll himself that said in an interview that on IMDb they had over 500 votes for his Bloodrayne movie [before it even came out] and all of them were a 1. Those that hate him so much are not real movie buRAB. I agree with what you said: they will be prepared to watch anything at least once over. Then they can decide if it is good or not. Otherwise they talk through their arse as they don't know what they are on about. Not saying that I support Uwe Boll or anything, but still, one can't help but notice the idiots that jump on the bandwagon of hate for him, just for the sake of it.

As for this movie, well all I liked about it was the small tribute or rather piss take for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. That was the stand out part of the movie in my view.

Whilst I appreciate your point, statistically speaking, since he has made zero good films, it would seem a safe bet that the next one will follow suit. ;)

I thought it was a crap movie production wise, but couldn't help laughing at everythining during the movie :D
I also noticed Sean Maguire's dodgy accent :D

1. I haven't seen the other films that this is supposed to be a spoof of
2. It's had rubbish reviews, and everyone says it's awful
3. It's got gorgeous Sean Maguire in it

Number 3 is far more important than 1 and 2 combined, so I will definitely go and see it :)

Rhinestone
Please don't get me wrong.....
I wasnt being snobby or elitist .....I see there *must* be a market for them ...???
I just avoid this poo! ;)

Why would I get you wrong?

I loathe this franchise. I stopped ten minutes into Scary Movie 4, and drew the line.

I haven't seen this, and won't ever. It's aimed at nothing more then the lowest form of intellect. They are bloody welcome to it.

I would rather sit and watch some reality dreck about how to collect s**t from your dog in an orderly fashion thanks.
