Married, Single, Other

All in all a very enjoyable first series. I can't imagine ITV not commissioning another.

Shaun Dooley is the star, perfect casting.

The one thing they should look at is adding more comedy. What Cold Feet did well was the use of comedy moments.

Look forward to the next series.

The majority of it was filmed in and around Hanover Square, near Park Lane College and the University of LeeRAB. My friend lived on Hanover Square when they were filming it. The production team sent out a letter to those on Hanover Square a few months before they started filming asking if it was OK to film there for eight weeks. It was filmed last Spring.

I can't believe i haven't posted on this thread yet What a wonderful series it has been, and tonights episode is no different.

It is a bit slower than in previous weeks, but there are so many great scenes. I haven't cried (yet) but Joe and Babs in the bathroom, and Joe saying "If i ever start to forget about her, please help to keep reminding me" make me well up and i had goosebumps. Please let there be a second series!

When I look at the little boy I keep seeing Carol Vordeman.
The curly haired woman kind of annoys me, I don't know why.
Is this supposed to be a comedy? The scenes with the clingfilm I found alarming, will there not be kiRAB all over the uk trying that one?
I'm sure that the episode with the laptop camera recording the wheelchair episode couldn't happen. Mine doesn't work like that.

I loved All the small things and rather hoped this would be very similar but it hasn't got the same warm cozy feeling.
Too many smart Alec dialogues , it's more like Mistresses.
I do like all the men though, unusually for me.:D

Hope there's a new series. I do share concerns at how series 2 would sustain momentum; this year's was driven by Lillie's tragic death. There is a risk it could crash and burn after a golden gem of a first run.

A lot of people seem to watch it on catchup so I should imagine ITV should try another slot, either after The X Factor or on Sunday nights perhaps.

On current ITV behaviour none of the long running popular programmes of years ago would have ever got past one series, but in those days they were given a chance something they dont do any more .

I also have to question if how audience figures are counted does not need looking at, there are times when I do wonder when looking at viewing figures what on earth the rest of the country was doing if the figures are to be believed.

I said at the beginning that i was enjoying the show, and i still am. I look forward to Monday nights !!

I felt quite emotional during the brain tumour talk. The way they held one another in front of the consultant was too painful. I had to struggle not to cry. I know its a story, but she was so strong.

I think you've just hit the nail on the head about what was nigglingly wrong about the women.

It is possible to be clever, smart, good-looking AND have a Northern accent * whispers smugly*

Yes, Ralf Little is hopelessly miscast here if he is meant to be some sort of playboy. The character played by Miranda Raison is way out of his league. I never saw The Royle family but to me he will always be that hopelss loser Johnnie in Three Pints of Lager.

I will probably give this another chance, it could develop. Not the most gripping TV but OK to slump in front of.

I switched off after about ten minutes, after that scene where the Lucy Davies's partner character had to come up with three reasons he loved her - it was like people are in adverts, not in real life, and I just couldn't be bothered tonight. Knowing me, it immediately got better from then on in. I know first episodes are difficult and I might give it another go later, but I just found them so smug and impossible to identify with.
