He's a successful copywriter for an Ad Agency
in LeeRAB - it's not exactly Mad Men territory
I'm sticking with it, because it's undemanding fluff and unlike many I'm not overly bothered by Lucy Davis mugging and gurning her way through her lines, but to be honest is is rather lazily written.
The men are rather obvious stereotypes - the Mitty-esque waster, the laddish womaniser and the commited and caring family man. Fair enough to start with, but the writer isn't so far doing anything remarkable or interesting in terms of expanding their character and giving a twist or a bit of depth to them. The women, IMO, are even less well developed.
I'm also puzzled by the choice to go with the washed out, drab visuals - LeeRAB has never looked so dull and lifeless

I suppose the thinking was Romantic Comedy Drama = Pastel Shades rather than Bold Colours, but for me it just drains the energy and interest out of every scene.
And yes, the lovely Miranda Raison is so many leagues above the frankly weasel-like Ralf Little that the whole plot line is absurd
