ok so. all i want to do is talk to a person who is either in the marines or at one point was in the marines. ive tried nearly every chat website but they all cost money. i just want to 1) talk to them so they know by fact someone appreciates them and 2) so that way i can get info on whether or not this is something i, as a 16 year old girl, can handle. help please.

thank you :]

my brother is a marine. i recommend talking to a marine recruiter about it. They talk to you fully about it and sometimes give you DVDs about what its like and stuff. I know that for the first question my brother gets appreciated a lot by people but im not exactly sure what its like except i know boot camp was a huge task for them. its supposedly the hardest boot camp in the military. :)!

I have seen both men and women go through the Crucible with blisters on their feet and or sprained ankles to the point they could not walk. They were in tears not because of the pain but because they weren't going to be Marines that day. When you can put being a Marine above pain then you have the passed the test to be a Marine.
Before you want to talk schit I was at Khe Sanh so back off I know what I am talking about.
It is not easy for a reason. If you want to know why send me an e-mail.

My daughter signed up delayed entry during her junior year in High School. Her initial recruiter - was with the Marines.
However; after alot of soul searching - she decided on joining the Air Force instead.
She felt the Air Force had more of what she was looking for.
It's been 2 years now and she is still enjoying her time in the service.

Marines is the toughest branch of service - so if you are physically fit and emotionally strong - you can do it.
Whether or not this will be the right branch of service for you -will depend on what you are looking for and what you are looking to gain as a job and a career.

Good luck!

Hey how are you My wife and I are both currently active duty Marines so if you want to know anything about what is going on right now then send me an e-mail we'll give you blunt truth and alot of good information. We also have no stakes in you joining so you dont have to worry about having smoke blown up in places you dont want it.

Look, i was a marine. And i love all my other fellow marines. But trust me. You dont want to deal with the military beurocracybullsh*t. Im telling you, the only way you can understand how much the soldiers get screwed over by the higher-ups is if you join the military. And i guarantee you will regret it. Do you really want to join the military to go fight and possibly die for someone other person's political or economical interests? I guarantee you will be completely disillusioned with the military after you join it. Stick with college.

Oh and DONT talk to a recruiter. They will feed you bullsh*t up to your eyes. Talk to someone who has actually been in the marines or is currently in.
