Marilyn Monroe films

Sometimes I feel I am 19 going on 91, but I love my old films.

I'm a bit of an Audrey Hepburn fan, if only I could live my life like one of her romantic movies but I haven't seen that many Marilyn Monroe films, and the ones I have seen have been great, but I wanna see some more.

Can anyone recommend some MM films?

I liked her in
'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' and 'Some Like It Hot'
Unfortunately, she could not shake off her ditzy blonde persona.

I have watched a few of her films and i only really liked Some Like It Hot. It's a good film and i would recommend it.

IMO she never made a decent movie, well she appeared in some but she never MADE the movie anything special it was the other actors around her. Her talent was overrated, her beauty was not though.

Bus Stop (because she does make that movie, one of her best performances, a very funny and endearing character)

The Misfits (her last complete film, beautifully shot, she is very vunerable in it)

She was also very good in All About Eve, albeit in a very small part.

Love Niagara, a very good sub Hitchcockian thriller, and I think Marilyn's great in it.

I saw How To Marry a Millionaire, and that I was disappointed in, only because her part wasn't necessarily a big role so to speak. Thanks for the other recommendations though.

I absolutely love 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'- the songs are great and her and Jane Russell act very well together..I dont know how many times I've watched the film, but if its ever on tv, I always end up watching it.

'The Misfits' is also a great film, where she isnt playing the ditsy role..I think she was a great actress who was stereotyped very earlier on..but over the years I have probably watched all her films, read books about her..I guess I love the classic film stars

Gentleman Prefer Blondes and How to Marry a Millionaire are classic films. I love both of them and could watch Millionaire over and over.
