Marco Melandri and the Kawasaki (MotoGP)?

I dont want to give away any results for those who havent seen the races yet. But Marco's perfomance over the last 2 races....
Im wondering just how much of his performance is down to him, the bike or Ichiro Yoda.
When they said he would be taking over the Hayate project I thought there was something going on.
For those who dont recognise the name.

this shows his pedigree. Do you think he can turn the dying breath into a hurricane. can Marco actually save his career with Yoda at the helm. Is it possible to turn the Kawasaki into something resembling the M1 Yamaha. Im still a bit surprised they didnt go with Nakano as well as Yoda knowing their history together. Any thoughts ?
 
[ hi Proc.... i have thought ever since Marco's performance in the wet testing at qatar when i believe he finished 2nd in that session, that if the playing field was levelled a bit, like a few interrupted practise sessions, and rain affected races, he could make something of the season and rescue his career a bit..

after his nightmare season on the Duke which i think is moulded a bit to much around Stoner..(and why not can't blame Ducati if he keeps winning) that give Melandri a clean sheet to work from a legend like Yoda to help, and Marco will show that he is still a world class rider....<^><..
 
Melandri is a class act, which is the point I was trying to make with my question about the Ducati perhaps having some fundamental problems, you don't go from being a race winner to loser overnight, and if it's true that Melandri said he had made a mistake after his first test ride on the Ducati then he is now just showing what he is capable of, the Kawasaki is not that far away and just like in WSB it needs the right riders on it, which I don't think it has in either case over the last couple of years, Hoppers injuries last year did not help and I hope he recovers from his latest misfortune quickly.
