or most of us? What either transcends these barriers or flies below the radar, to tie us all together? What things do we share that connects us to someone on the other side of the world?

The need to kill each other because someone else worships a different invisible man in the sky.

Right now, caffeine. My coffee hasn't kicked in enough for me to think this deeply. I guess we all appreciate art, we share things cultural in this age of the internet, cell phones with cameras can send information instantly from anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world. We all have access to each other's music, art, movies, television, food, language. The things we all share right now may be considered threads, but with this access, those threads will be woven into a beautiful, global tapestry before my life is over anyway.

Music. everyone likes music maybe not the same kind but everyone likes some kind of music.

I also haven't met anyone who doesn't like pizza but they don't have pizza in some places so I can't say pizza unites us.

Man's instinct unites all of us. We all desire to eat, to have sex, to breath clean air and drink clean water, and to be in a comfortable environment around other humans.

Unfortunately, religion, nationality, and culture all fight against human instincts, telling us our instincts are evil and worthless.

We all essentially have the same goals in life: to achieve happiness, success and love. We are all of one large family, the homo-sapien species.
