Mamma Mia!

Yeah, it was really annoying me that it was spelt incorrectly!

Saw an advert for Mamma Mia! during X Factor last night advertising that it was peoples' last chance to see it in the cinemas! :D

Hopefully it'll boost up the numbers and get us perhaps 1m in sales for this week? I know my friend is going today for the first time, and I'll be making it my fifth time next weekend. :D

Went to see Mama Mia today, did'nt like it at the beginning, a bit too over the top but it got better as it went on. We thought Julie Walters was miscast but she came good at the end. Meryl Streep was great as the mum, she is a wonderful actress.

The three potential Fathers, were great. Don't miss the credits at the end of the film, stay and and watch, really funny. All in all, we loved it.:)

saw it at matinee today.
for some stupid reason, it kind of passed me by that it was a musical, i was just thinking more like good soundtrack ie like Bridget Jones.
So when first song was belted out I was a bit

It was so good though, even Streep who, though she is very much acclaimed over the years I just was always aware she was acting and never got it, got her today, she was fantastic:)

There's a difference in my vocabulary between howling and a tad shouty. Watch the film and see the context of it and why she's belting it out, then you can judge properly.

Well, that's the problem, you don't know "it" - but only the first 20 minutes. Others may have wanted to leave the cinema after the first 20 minutes but thought that would be embarrassing, and so they stayed and slowly but surely it worked its magic on them ;)

Or you are just desperately insecure with feelings of inadequacies and keep hoping that by attacking others you will one day feel better - but that is not how it works. Stopping attacking others and finding something you like is the way to happy maturity.

I was just recapping for the benefit of anyone who was reading this thread /thinking/ of going to see it.

If everyone on this thread has already seen it, why did someone get shouted at for mentioning a particularly lame 'revelation' in the film with one male character, who, out of the blue, with no prior warning, and for no reason whatsoever suddenly...

...decides he is gay and flounces off with some boyfriend he has just met, right at the end of the film

Why?

Sure, they like dark depressing nonsense since they have no rapport with normal humans.

How this professional movie beat the crowd.

Aww it's still 2 for 1 in my cinema. Showings at 12.30 and 3, except on Wednesday and Thursday.

May go and see it one last time (said that the last time I went:o)

For weeks they only showed clips then this guy put the full songs on including bits of the film around and during the songs!!dont know where he got them from whilst the movie is still on at the cinema !but i agree makes you want to see the film again! but better on the big screen!!
