Mad Men.

Last week's episode was wonderful. I watched it when I felt a bit down due to some personal stuff, and for some reason Mad Men seems even more amazing when you are in that sort of mood.

Saddest part of the episode was probably Sal's face as his beloved Ken called the gay guy a pervert. Brilliant scene, but heartbreaking.

That looked to me as if they were drawing a divide between the old "establishment" figures: the account people with the clients going to luncheon and the new generation exemplified by Peggy's "in" crowd.

They did leave one cliff-hanger: did she get any pears?

Thanks, I was sure they wouldn't have gone all the way Rome for that one scene.

Poor Sal this week. Will be interesting to see what happens to him now.

I must not have been paying attention but when did we see their dishwasher?

Well how old is she supposed to be anyway?

I might be jumping ahead an episode but I seem to remember Gene teaching her to drive.

edit: wrapped that in spoiler tags.

Finaly got round to watching episode one of season three online, but

I was disapointed in Don, already back to his bad old ways. They could have at least made him try to stay faithful to his wife while she is pregnant!!

When Sal was in the office with Don explaining what happened Don was really cold towarRAB him and then said 'You people'. Who do you think he meant. Did he mean homosexuals or his team in general?

On a lighter note, I love how this thread is now discussing household appliances!!

Luckily with Mad Men its not such a big show as the Sopranos and shows such as LOST which spending more than 5 minutes on a site you be spoiled in 2.

Can't wait for Season 2 :D

Completely.

Matthew Weiner is a genius. We are not worthy.

And please don't say Joan's gong to back down from duelling with her rival Jane again. Joan must have her revenge! Maybe she could start by firing off the nuclear missiles she obviously has hidden in her bra ... :D

I loved their farewell to one another but I don't think they'd ever be a couple as she has his number and I don't think he'd be able to cope with that. ;)

I utterly adore Joan - she absolutely has to return.

And I may be the only one (:o), but I think the little girl who plays Sally is fantastic. The whole story is vaguely reminiscent of the Glen story of Seasons 1 & 2 - a youngster's alienation in an adult world - but this time laced with grief (Sally's conflicting with Betty's, of course).

Yet another brilliant episode. I just can't get enough of this show.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused by what happened to Peggy's baby. I also thought he was being looked after by her sister./QUOTE]

That's what I thought also.

Agreed- what a brilliant, electrifying scene! I've warmed to the Pete Campbell character this series. Love Mad Men, I think I actually liked series 2 more than 1. Roll on series 3!

My worry for season 3 is that like season 2 it will be set months/years after the last episode. I want to see how the various threaRAB plotlines pan out - not have them all resolved before the 3rd season starts.

I think she could possibly be preggers .... and for some reason, I think Pete really does like her.

But not forgetting that decade .... that would be very bad news for Peggy. She'd be ostracised (for being caught out)

Do I think Roger has seen the light? Dunno, next week will tell.
