Mad Men.

To echo what everyone else has said, another brilliant episode. The Sal/Ken storyline was very well done - poor Kitty trying to get involved in the conversation when he only had eyes for Ken, Ken being quite oblivious, and finally Kitty knowing something is wrong with their relationship, but the writers leaving us guessing whether or not she has realised he is gay.

This is apart from the main Don/Betty storyline of course which is getting more and more interesting, particularly with the intriguing flashback. Like last week, the final scene was brilliant when they didn't speak in the car but we knew what was going on in their minRAB, and then Betty vomiting (that took me by surprise) in Don's brand new car when they had been so careful not to let the children get it dirty. This was another scene which said a lot but with no dialogue.

Can't wait for next week's episode.
 
I don't think there was a Mrs Whitman to divorce.:confused: Wasn't she the original Mrs Don Draper who was on record as being the wife of Don Draper, the dead soldier whose identity Dick Whitman stole in order to set up the whole 'Don Draper' scam and escape from his Whitman family?
 
What a great performance by John Hamm playing 'young' Don who was so innocent and happy. What a contrast to the present day Don.

And poor Joan, her fiance is an utter knob and her great lover Roger is hooked up with a secretary who's younger than she is! Brilliant show.
 
I get what you mean, but then think about it. I can understand how freaked she was about the newborn. Bald baby + "Eugene" as his name = Dead Bald Grandpa Gene reincarnated. Her logic is awesome:D;) Poor kid:o

Worth watching just for the clothes and interiors which seem to capture the height of the post-war age of affluence in the US.

The more we learn about Donald Draper, the less we like him. Really appalling how he managed to thwart his wife's attempt at going back to work this week.

Also interesting to note that the "60's" were not such an age of liberation- certainly not until the very end of the decade.
 
The stuff in Roma was bellisimo! I loved the cheeky chat on the piazza. Pete is still a juvenile bastard though, I keep thinking he's grown up and then he lets himself down.
 
The only redeeming factor there was for me about that whole situation was that before, when they were lying in bed and Joan got on top, was that he said "I don't know the things you know", which IMO showed that he had a vague idea about her past (and Joan did say something like "that's all in the past").
So he might have thought that what he was doing in Don's office with Joan (rape in anybody's eyes) was what she was used to and wanted.
It isn't an excuse, but it might explain a bit why he did it.

Such a good show! Very rare these days that TV shows make you think :D

I'm getting so excited about new Mad Men I've started dreaming that I work for Don Draper. This is bad for a married, 33 year old mother of two. I've gone so fangirl.

Just looked at the second link posted with the cast photo - loving Peggy's glamour look. Don is looking younger and fresher - guess there's nothing like a NYC bachelor pad to get those fires burning.
